My prayers are with the Wilkenning Family. I will miss Bob terribly. I enjoyed having him as my neighbor on the dais, his humour and his thoughtful approach to the issues we were called upon to decide. I enjoyed the few brakfasts we had together to talk about the future of the city. He was already a great alderman who cared deeply about his community and those he represented. The city is missing out on the great ideas and input he would have provided.

Gail my sympathy to you and your family. Last time I talked to Bob he was running for the city council. He told me how he went door to door getting to know the families he would serve. Since the many years we spent on School Board together he has remained a great friend. I'll think of him every time I go to Lola's Diner because he usually was there to catch up with the family news.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Park Ridge will not be the same without Bob. We looked forward to seeing him around town and supporting him in his hard work to make Park Ridge an even greater community. We will miss him.

I met Bob while he was running for the city council and he eventually became my alderman. We met for breakfast late this spring and covered a huge variety of topics!! He was so excited to serve on the council and had energy and open-mindedness that I admired. I looked forward to working with him on issues in Park Ridge and our ward and I'm sad that he's gone too early. My thoughts are with his family.

Gail, Michael, Katie, Katie, and Natalie - While I've known Bob for less than 10 years, he had a huge impact on me, both personally and professionally ... and we became fast friends. He was also a mentor to me on so many levels. Like all of you, I will miss him dearly and think of him often. I'm so glad that I had a chance to visit with him and many of you multiple times over these past three weeks, especially a great talk that we had two weeks ago. I had a chance to tell him how much he meant to me and how much I truly respected and loved him. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and may God Bless Bob and your entire family.

Much too soon to be mourning the loss of our friend, Bob. His easy laugh and wry sense of humor will be surely missed. Live and prayers for Gail, Michael and his wife, Katie and Natalie. The world's a little sadder but heaven's a little sweeter now.

Oh my Lord, how you swiftly call those to you hold dear to you. What a wonderful man you have indeed. Dear Gail, we cannot even imagine the strife the past 35 days must have been for you, Bob, and the kids.

Please know that our continuing prayers are with you as you face the hardest part. We love you and will be there.
