Mark Roger Ginger. Age 55 of Des Plaines. Beloved son of Roger and Irene Ginger. Loving brother of Andy (JoAnn), Paul (Joanne), Clare Ginger and Amy (Lenny) Johncola. Dear uncle of 7 nieces and nephews. Active volunteer with the Sierra Club and Volo Bog as a hike leader and naturalist. Enthusiastic camper, hiker, biker and cross-country skier. A true protector of nature. Graduate of Northern Illinois University. Visitation Friday, September, 16, 3-9 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Visitation Saturday, 9 a.m., until time of service, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sierra Club, sierraclub.org of Volo Bog State Natural Area., www.friendsofvolobog.org.
