W. Jason Mitan

W. Jason Mitan was born on May 18, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Matilda Mitan. He passed on Monday January 23rd, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Jason was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. He worked his way through college and earned a law degree. His entrepreneurship took him to the Mideast and Asia.

His interest and hobbies include traveling, football, blackjack, reading, supporting his children and grandchildren through their daily activities, and spending time with family and friends. He was known to be quite a mentor to others.

Jason is survived by his children Daniel Mitan, Debra Jill (Richard) Reyle and Javonne (Tom), his grandchildren Giavonna, Giulianna, Giada, and Greyson. His brother Glenn (Shirley) Mitan, nephews Joseph Mitan and Jason Mitan. As well as his devoted partner Jana McDaniel and her son's Kurt and James. He was proceeded in death by his parents.

Visitation Friday, January 27, 4-8 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 a.m. from funeral home to St. Paul of the Cross Church, 140 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6800 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
