Suzanne Oberheide

Suzanne Oberheide nee Unger, age 85 of Park Ridge. Beloved wife to the late William L. Oberheide. Loving mother to Jane (Steve) Zutter, William (Rose Anne) Oberheide and Kathryn (Greg) Lewis. Devoted grandmother to Katie Zutter (Josh) Suevel, Rachel (Peter) Mann, Zane (Cassie) Zutter, John (Madison) Oberheide, Neil and Claire Lewis. Cherished sister to the late Lois (Jack) Sladkey. Fond sister-in-law to the late Robert (Margery) Oberheide.

Suzanne grew up in the Edgebrook, a neighborhood of Chicago and never strayed far. She and her husband Bill grew up in that same neighborhood and both attended Taft High School during the 1950s. Sue went on to receive her degree in Elementary Education at Northwestern University and was an active member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She married Bill, her high school sweetheart in December of 1958 and shortly thereafter they moved to Park Ridge, IL where they lived together for nearly 50 years and raised their three children. Sue was a part of the St. Luke's Evangelical Church family. She enjoyed reading, music, her beloved miniature schnauzers, and spending time with her many cherished friends. Dearest to her heart was her husband Bill and the family that they created together. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to be made to the Alzheimer's Association. www.alz.org. Services and interment will be private.
