Obituary
Robert L. "Bob" Larsen went to Heaven on September 6, 2023 just a few days after his 86th birthday on September 2. Loving father of Lisa (Harry) Arger, Robert Larsen Jr. (Jane), Scott (Rose) Larsen, Matthew (Hope) Larsen, Jessica Larsen and Zachary Larsen.
Bob was preceded in Heaven by his loving parents, Alice (Welsh) Larsen and Leonard Angus Larsen, and by his beloved sister, Delores (Larsen) Nowakowski.
"Bobby Lar," as he was known to friends and family alike, was a larger than life figure. Always the center of the party, with a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for telling stories, some of them even true.
Fiercely patriotic, as a young man Bob joined the Marine Corps and served with honor. He then attended DePaul University before starting a very successful career in the insurance business. After selling the company he built, Bob decided to open a successful restaurant in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. He loved entertaining, loved his friends, and loved his family.
Visitation Wednesday, September 13, 4-8 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Funeral Thursday, 12 noon from funeral home to St. Paul of the Cross Church. Mass at 12:30 p.m. Interment private.
