Robert "Bob" J. Bauer

Robert J. Bauer "Bob".  Age 81 of Niles. Beloved husband of Alice. Loving father of Janice Ann Simpson. Robert Jr. "Bob" (Susan), Mark (Christine), Jayne Marie (Paul) Hannon and Jason (Rachel). Dear grandfather of Katy, Ethan, Bobby, Zach, Tressa, Grace, Nathan, Abigail, Aiden, Emmit and Briggs. Great-grandfather of Madison, Camryn and Brooks. Bob passed away peacefully with his wife Alice by his side on March 23. This veteran of the U.S. Marines was a lifelong resident of Niles where he also owned a transportation and service station. When he wasn't spending time with his family Bob could be found playing cards, restoring vintage cars or enjoying a home cooked meal.  Bob was a man of few words though he touched many hearts over his 81 years and will be missed dearly by those he left behind. Services and Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
