Nancy V. Cicero

September 12, 1928 ~ September 2, 2023 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Obituary

It is with much sadness that we announce that Nancy V. Cicero (nee Colosuanno) has gone to Heaven. Born on Sept 12, 1928 she peacefully left us on September 2, 2023, just short of her 95th birthday.

Her body got tired but her mind was as sharp as ever.

Nancy was the loving daughter of Paul and Eufemia Colosuanno and was the youngest of their three children. She is now reunited with Minnie (Leverenz) and Lucy (Magliano).

She was married to Joe Cicero on June 11, 1950 and they had a long life together.

They had three daughters, Diane (Tony) Manno, Joann (Jeff) Betz and Nancy (Craig) Phillips.

She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Dionne Fleming, Melissa (Brent) Thoman, Juliet (Alastair) Hall, Matthew (Shauna) Betz, Heather (Zachary) Rogers, Marshall Wells and Ashley (Joe) Jackson

A proud Great-grandmother to Winston, Catalina, Haley, Philomena, Sienna, Jackson, Audrey and Liam

A devoted and loving friend to Lorraine Kearns, Cindy Schwiesow and Shiela Brooks.

For most of her early married life she was a stay-at-home mom and wife. She went to work at Wheels in Des Plaines, IL. after her children were grown and liked her job and the people she worked with.

After her retirement, Nancy took up many hobbies. She especially loved to read. The last count was over 500 books since retirement. She was extremely knowledgeable of the works and lives of Michael Angelo and Leonardo DaVinci.

She enjoyed baking, entertaining, crocheting and card making. Each card she made was a one-of-a-kind personalized work of art.

Nancy kept up on world events and enjoyed spirited discussions. She had opinions and knew her facts.

She will be miss by everyone who’s life she touched.
