Margaret "Peggy" Mary McGuin

Margaret Mary McGuin "Peggy". Born January 8, 1949 in Chicago, IL, passed away May 6, 2021 in Huntley, IL. Laughter where there was silence. Joy where there was darkness.  Peggy was: fearless, compassionate, and headstrong.  As an accomplished cook, an avid sailor, gardner, and adventurer she spread good cheer to those around her.  A daughter.  A sister.  A wife.  A mom.  An aunt.  A grandma.  A friend.  A neighbor.  A stranger to none.  She was always ready to lend a hand and to share a smile.  Her ‘cheerful cheeks’ were telling of her huge heart and many years filled with laughter.

May joy and peace surround you, contentment latch your door, and happiness be with you now and bless you evermore!

Let us also be reminded of the words of our Lord; "I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." - John 14:27

Memorial Visitation will be held at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge, IL on June 12 at 10a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, for those who desire to honor her, donations may be made to the Lincoln Park Zoo where Peggy volunteered her time or The Cancer Research Institute.
