Lee V. Mazur

Lee V. Mazur, age 91 of Park Ridge. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine, nee Knapp. Loving father of James Lee Mazur and Linda Marie (Jim) Conroy. Devoted grandfather of Holly Conroy (Charly) Cervantes and Dr. Kelly (Sean) Hayes. Loving great-grandfather of Emmett Hayes.

Lee began his career with Illinois Bell at the age of 17 in the mail room and worked his way through telephone installation and management until he managed a national networking department that had 250 employees.  With the break-up of AT&T, his 34 years earned him a generous retirement package which he was able to take at age 51.  While enjoying his 40 years of retirement, he engaged in 2 other careers with Anixter (5 years) and as City of Des Plaines building inspector (3 years).  He loved his workshop and loved to build things.  His talents including contracting and building his first house in Skokie after he got out of the service having served in Germany for 2 years. 

He was a loving and caring person who lived to be kind to other people.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, from 4-7 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Interment will be private.
