Katherine 'Kathy' (Albers) Hunt

Katherine 'Kathy' Hunt, age 62. Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Cherished wife of Brad Hunt. Devoted mother to Ashlee (Tyler) Bartlow, Austin and Dylan (Haley) Hunt. Beloved sister to Dave (Penny) Albers, Dan (Nancy) Albers, Karen (Scott) Slusar and Kristine (Dean) Talbot. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Kathy was born on May 27, 1961 in DePere, WI to the late Bill and Joanne Albers. She graduated from West DePere High School in 1979. From her time on the basketball court, she earned female athlete of the year in 1979 and still holds the record for most assists in a single season. She went on to play basketball at St. Norbert’s College where she met her beloved husband, Brad. Their love story brought them to Park Ridge, IL after graduation and Kathy began an accounting position at Warady & Davis in 1983. She was highly accomplished in her career, eventually becoming a Partner of the firm, and serving as Director of Accounting and Auditing Services. More importantly, she was a loving and proud mother to her three beautiful children Ashlee, Austin and Dylan, always acting selflessly and prioritizing her family, regardless of the situation. She was always eager to offer a helping hand to others, and generous in so many ways to anyone who needed her. Kathy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home (120 S. Northwest Hwy.) from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Funeral Mass to be held Saturday November 11, at St. Paul of the Cross Church at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
