John A. “Jack” Lane - With a friendly hello, a mischievous grin, and a memorable laugh Jack was a proud Chicago Catholic, an avid Bears and Loyola fan, and a member of the Park Ridge community for over 50 years. A decorated veteran of the Korean War, upon his return Jack earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and throughout his professional career prioritized using his learnings and experiences to inspire and give to others as a caring coach, mentor, volunteer, and family leader.
Jack was preceded by his wife of over 50 years (Sharon) and his sister (Mary Claire), and is survived by sons John (Barb) and Mike, granddaughters Megan, Stephanie, Julia, and Nicole, and many adored nieces and nephews.
Visitation Tuesday, Nov. 9, 4-8 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Funeral Mass Wednesday, Nov. 10, 11 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Loyola University Chicago general scholarship fund.
