John I. Hawkins, age 59 of Des Plaines. Cherished son of Betty McMahon and the late Harold Hawkins. Loving brother of Kenneth (Joanne) Hawkins, Terry (Ronald) Ellwanger and Kathleen (Thomas) Garcea. Dear uncle to Carrie (Andrew) Yeaman, David (Meaghan) Collins, Michelle (Michael) Davis, Christopher Hawkins, Kevin Ellwanger, Ryan Ellwanger, Thomas Jr. (Christine) Garcea, Daniel (Veronica) Garcea and the late Carolyn Garcea. Dear uncle to many great nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, September 15th, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 am at St. Andrews Lutheran Church 260 N. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Interment to follow at Town of Maine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Andrews Lutheran Church appreciated.
