Harold F. Fendius

Harold F. "Hal" Fendius. Age 87 of Arlington Heights, formerly of Des Plaines and Barrington. Born on August 8, 1934 to Fred and Minnie (Schumann), passed away on January 27, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Lucile Gustafson for 12 years and the late Nancy Fendius for 38 years. Loving father of Kurt (Rita), Carol (Jeff) Nelms and Paula Fendius. Devoted grandfather of Dan (Hadleigh), Claire and Charlie Fendius, Emily and Brian Nelms. Dear great-grandfather of Natalie and Jenna. Hal played basketball and baseball while attending Maine Township High School and Carrol College, obtaining his MBA at Northwestern University. Hal was employed with Container Corporation of America as a Benefits and Compensation Executive. He served in the Army Reserves, enjoyed golf, traveling, reading, sports and spending time with his family. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 10 a.m. until time of Service, 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights.  In lieu of flowers, donations to be directed to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, www.chicagosfoodbank.org.
