Ernest "Ernie" Graf Obituary

Ernest "Ernie" Graf, born on December 1,1936, was a long time resident of Des Plaines, IL. He was adored by neighbors and known for his love of dogs, movies, travel and his love for living life to its fullest. He passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021 at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was preceded by the death of his beloved wife of 42 years, Penny Graf and eldest daughter, Christine Harris. He is survived by his children Sharon (Don) Perna, Patricia (Joe) Salyer, Pamela (Bob) Lilja, Mark (Sue) Graf, Joann (Martin) Jakubowski, Judy (Phil) Pecucci, and Donna Hill. He leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and brother, Lou (Kathy) Graf. He was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Ernie was adored by his coworkers from many decades at Freeman Decorating. His words of wisdom, laughter, and endless stories will be missed and treasured . 

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge, IL. Burial will be held in St. Luke's Cemetery, 5300 N. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL, at 1:30 p.m.
