Emilio Bartucci, Age 91, of Park Ridge, Il. passed away on May 27, 2022 with family at his side. Emilio was born in Calabria, Italy, a region with a stunning landscape at the toe of Italy’s boot. He emigrated to the United States in 1960 and settled in the Chicago area, along with his parents and siblings. Emilio had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned several businesses over his career, including beauty salons. He enjoyed serving his customers and continued to work beyond his retirement. This gave him purpose and connection with his community.
Outside of work, he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and was known for his hallmark dish “Chicken Marsala.” He made daily visits to the local grocery stores, where he was known to the staff for his humor and endearing personality. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, which brought out his inner child and love for fun. Emilio will be remembered as a free spirit, with a zest for life.
