On August 5th, surrounded by her family, Eleanor passed peacefully to be with her loving husband Jim who had preceded her in death.
Eleanor Irene Scarpelli (née DeMarco) 96, of Park Ridge, grew up in Chicago where she met Vincent Scarpelli, whom at the time (80+yrs ago) had just arrived from Italy. They married after 'Jim' returned home from WWII. Eleanor with Jim is now survived by their children: Michael, Chuc (Carole), Rosellen (John), Vince Jr, and Marc (Pamela). Remembering her are her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Eleanor had many joys with her 'girls' in the family: cooking, baking, cards, and dominoes to name a few. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eleanor could often be found at the Park Ridge Senior Center, where she spent countless hours with her many friends there and at each other's homes.
A private service was held at St. Paul of the Cross and interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. A joyous celebration of her life will be held in Springtime.
