Dr. John "Jack" William Sheehan

Dr. John “Jack” William Sheehan, age 91, of Hollywood FL, formerly of Park Ridge, passed away on September 3rd 2022. He was born January 9th, 1931 to John and Addie (Rogers) Sheehan. He married Karen Marie Wiater February 4th 1961. He is survived by his sister Mary Ellen (Charles) Lesage and sons John III (Crystal), Patrick (Heather), daughters Kathy (Ken) Sheahan, Maureen Sheehan MD, and Shannon Sheehan (Dave) Eakle. Also surviving are his 15 grandchildren Kelly (Robert) Foerder, John IV (Jessica) Sheehan, Sarah (Adam) Roth, Ryan (Arianna) Sheehan, Brianna Sheehan, Emily Sheehan, Becca Sheehan, Kyle Sheehan, Trevor Sheehan, Kevin (Heather) Sheahan, Kaleigh Sheahan, Nichole (Matt) Rave, Connor Sheehan, Kennedy Sheehan, Meghan Sheehan, and 12 great grandchildren Reid, Elsie and Adeline Foerder, John V, Evelynn, Henry and Magnus Sheehan, Harvey and Charlie Roth, Ava and Ben Sheahan, Maeve Rave. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen, his son Kevin, and infant son Timothy, his parents and sister Patricia. Jack was a graduate of Marmion High School, Benedictine College and Marquette Medical School. He did his residency at Hines VA before practicing Orthopedic surgery in Park Ridge and on staff at Resurrection Hospital. Jack held a very special interest in the Chicago Aurora & Elgin railroad as his father, grandfather and various relatives worked for them. He was also very involved in the Chicago Region of the Sports Car Clubs of America in the 60’s & 70’s, and was Regional Executive in 1971. As his family grew, Jack had many interests and talents; farming, showing and breeding horses, gardening and being an accomplished artist. Jack and Karen loved to travel, but being surrounded by his family was what he loved most. Visitation will be Friday, September 16th, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m., St. Paul the Cross Catholic Church, Park Ridge. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org in honor of Jack's great-granddaughter, Maeve Rave.
