David Kehl Braun

David Kehl Braun, age 46 of Madison, WI, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at Ryan Parke Funeral Home on 120 S. Northwest Highway in Park Ridge, IL on Monday, March 28. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m..

David was born in Omaha, NE on October 1, 1975 to Roberta Curtin and Robert A. Braun Jr.. He is survived by his son, Elliot, and Elliot’s mother, Marisa; his parents Roberta (Michael) and Robert (Mary); and siblings Robert (Alyssa), Derek, Ryan (Tiffany), Alex (Mercury Wu), and Mamie (Josh); his aunts Patricia, Joan, Mary Ann (Frank), Diane, Barbara (Gregory); and his two best Terrier friends, Lemmy and Jessie. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and his goddaughter, Annabelle.

David was a long-time employee of Woodman’s in Madison, WI and an enthusiastic volunteer at the Dane County Humane Society. David sometimes preferred hanging out with dogs and children more than adults. He will be remembered by his family and friends as someone with a giant heart, full of kindness.

David was also known for his sense of humor, his love of music, his snowboarding and skateboarding skills, and DJ Valentino mix tapes created during his earlier years.

David started playing guitar in high school, carried that talent into his adult life, and shared it with his son, Elliot. David’s son Elliot was a blessing to David and he cherished every moment they spent together.
