Corliss Benedict. On June 7, 2021, she left this earth to be with her parents in heaven, John and Regina Toohey. Corliss’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her eight grandchildren, Michael, Caroline, Kaitlin, Peter, Lauren, Patrick, Audrey and Archer. She is also survived by her children Kristen (the late Joe) Farrell, Thomas (Irene) Benedict, and Sarah (John) Lally, her sister Mary Lou (Bill) Higgins, her grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews. A proud graduate of Visitation High School, DePaul University, Corliss enjoyed a blessed 27 year career at ISMIE on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Services and Interment are private but we appreciate everyone’s love and support. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity and Corliss will smile down on you.
