Angela Balice

Angela Balice, nee Barca, of Park Ridge, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024 at the age of 94. She was surrounded by her cherished family.

The loving wife of the late Sam Balice; loving mother of Julia Smith, Anna (Mario) Prosperi, Dora (Pete) McDonald and Joseph (Cathy) Balice; proud grandmother of Bryan (Andrea) and Shannon (Kristen), Jason, Jenica (Tony), Jonathan, Ariana, Mia and Sam, and step granddaughters Megan (Philip), Katie (Jack); great-grandmother of Eli, Averee, Gianna, Nicholas, Joseph, Neva, Cordelia and Gary. Sister of the late Frank (Vita) Barca; Sister-in-law of Anastasia, the late Domenica, Sr. Rachela, Onofrio, Michael and Joseph (Terri) Balice.

Angela was born in Ceglie del Campo, Italy on March 25, 1929 to the late Anna and Vito Barca. After marrying her husband, Sam Balice in 1949 in Italy, they came to America to raise their family in the Chicago area. They went on to raise four children and became the affectionate grandparents of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her later years she made many new friends at her new and final home at The Sheridan. There she made many new friends and impacted the lives of so many.

She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation Friday, March 1 from 10-12 noon. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Funeral Mass Friday, March 1, 12:30 p.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church 140 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
