Patrick Hickey, native of Castleisland Co. Kerry, Ireland. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Murray) for 50 years; Devoted son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Hickey; Cherished father of Thomas (Jeanne) and Mary Ann (Bernard) Fay; proud grandfather of Declan, Kevin and Brendan Fay, Patrick, Catherine and Owen Hickey, Rory, Shane, Ciara, Claire and Michael Collins; second father to James (Marion), the late Thomas (Lydia), and William (Eileen) Collinis; Loving brother to Kathleen (the late John) O'Connor, Thomas (the late Mary) of Ireland, Elizabeth (the late Patrick McSwiney), the late Eileen (the late Tim) Fogarty, the late Maurice (the late Nora), the late William (the late May), the late Mary (the late William) Collins, and the late David of Ireland. Much loved brother in law and uncle to many. Patrick was a friend to many in Chicago, Boynton Beach, Florida and Ireland. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit and willingness to help others. His love for horse racing and morning coffee with his McDonald’s friends meant so much to him. He will be deeply missed but always remembered by those who were lucky enough to know him. Longtime member of International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers Local 7, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399, Chicagoland Building Association, Kerryman Association, and Shamrock Club of Palm Beach, Florida. Visitation Sunday, July 30, 2-10 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy. (2 blks. S. of Touhy), Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, 9:30 a.m. prayers from funeral home to St. Paul of the Cross Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
