Patricia L. (nee Mielke) Simpkins

Patricia L. Simpkins, nee Mielke. Age 60, formerly of Park Ridge, found peace Tuesday, October 17, 2017, with her loving husband, Kenny, at her side. Patty was born in Chicago on November 17, 1956.  Patty worked in the nursing industry, caring for children, senior citizens and those with Alzheimer's Disease. She married Kenny Simpkins on June 30, 1990 and they were the perfect pair. Together they shared a love for animals and spent many years boarding and rescuing horses. Patty had a huge heart for helping others, and a bigger voice that spoke for those in need. Her love and kindness will never be forgotten!

Patty was pre-deceased by her parents, Herbert and Margaret, nee Gleeson, Mielke. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Simpkins; brother, Michael Mielke; nieces and nephew, Michelle (Mark) Wegren, Laura (Korey) Brown, and Matt Mielke; grandnieces and nephews: Fiona, Ethan, Ava, Cameron, and Sophia. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 12 Noon, at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy. (2 blks. S. of Touhy), Park Ridge. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local animal shelter or food pantry.
