I have been trying to find Marty since she called me from the Ohio hospital last summer. She was my dear friend and attended lews funeral at Arlington with me in March. I am shocked to find she is gone. I think Marty was one of the kindest, brightest and nicest persons I have ever known. I am so sorry to hear she is gone. I was blessed to have her as my dear friend. She was one of a kind and will be missed!!!

I have just today learned of Marty's passing. We had been waiting for her return to our mixed bowling league--anticipating a November return. I was devastated to learn of her passing and will share that information with our league members.
Not only was she part of the bowling league of which I also am a member, she was one of our favorite bridge players. She will be missed by both groups.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you family members.

I first met Marty at Quinn’s auction house in Falls Church, I recognized her from Fort Myer Thrift Shop, we chatted and found friendship in our love of Thrifting. What fun we had driving in her convertible with the top down loading the trunk with goodies. She was kind, generous funny and vivacious, I loved to hear stories of her life, the time she was driving down a street in Chicago wondering where the rest of the cars were, the road had been closed for a Royal visit, she knew this when she saw the party coming towards her.
Marty thank you for your friendship, may you rest in peace. My thoughts are with your family and friends.

Marty was a volunteer at the Fort Myer Thrift Shop, Virginia, for over 28 years. She was a faithful hard working volunteer and we miss her very much. But mostly we miss her friendly and entertaining spirit. Her time to rest and sit on the pink cloud came much to early for us. We miss you Marty. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I volunteered at the Ft Myer Thrift Shop with Marty for almost 20 years. She was a delightful person and a hard worker - even at 82! She was mischievous and had a razor sharp wit. Always made us laugh - I'm going to miss her so very much!
God Bless, Paige

Marty, thank you for Kevin. Thank you for your continued generosity over so many years in sharing the cottage in Rhinelander with a bunch of us knuckleheads from Point. It kept our friendships strong for over 30 years. With a heavy, yet thankful heart, we wish your entire family peace and love.

So sorry for your loss. She seemed like a pretty extraordinary person who was loved by many. I hope you are comforted by the wonderful memories that you have of her and know that she is now at peace.
