Justine Mary (nee Miller) Hoffman

Justine M. Hoffman, nee Miller, 95, loving wife of the late Francis H., mother of 6 daughters, grandmother of 19, great grandmother of 20, passed away peacefully at home on November 2 surrounded by her family.

Loving mother of Barbara (Bruce) Conti, Judy (Greg) Schimmel, Nancy (Paul) Cooke, Terry (John) Gipp, Betsy Klopp, Denise (Steve) Kupanoff.   Proud grandmother of Robert (Colleen), Patrick (Leah) Conti, Michael (Meredith), Stephen (Emilie), Elizabeth (Neil) Schimmel, Emily (Liam), Timothy (Ladawn), Willoughby Cooke, Elissa, Justin, Kelly (Jeff) Keleman, Andrew Wyatt, Rebecca (Danny) Schock, Nicholas Fender, Justine Klopp, Erika (Joshua) Rekittke, Melanie, Kristen, Jacob Kupanoff.

Preceded in death by her sister, Evangeline Bjorge.

Born and raised in Winona, Minnesota, she moved to Chicago in 1943 where she met her husband of 52 years at the US Treasury Department.  Moved to Nokomis, Florida in 1984 until returning to Park Ridge in 2011.  Justine will be fondly remembered for her exuberance, easy laugh and thorough enjoyment of family, friends and all who crossed her path.  Her curiosity, love of a good story and pragmatic take on life kept her engaging with folks through the last moments of her time with us.  Justine will be greatly missed, yet her “Justine-isms” will remain with us forever…

Memorial visitation will be on Friday, November 16 at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy, Park Ridge beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral mass at St. Paul of the Cross Church at 12 noon.
