Elaine D. Mayer. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late Wilhelm. Loving mother of Heidi (Gordon Currin) Mayer and the late Dietlind (Jim) Lawrence. Devoted grandmother of Kathryn Lawrence and Ryan Lawrence. Dear sister of Karen Hicks. Elaine Mayer was a talented visual artist with a degree from Wayne State University. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She will be remembered by all for her lovely smile, sunny personality, grace and intelligence, unconditional love and boundless compassion, sense of humor, and being happiest when surrounded by her treasured family and dear friends. Visitation Monday March, 12, 5-8 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Services and burial will be in Brighton, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Smile Train or Americares, are appreciated.
