Sharon A. (nee Costello) Lane

Sharon A. Lane. A Park Ridge resident for almost 50 years, Sharon loved giving to others, being active in the community, and spending time with her loving family and friends. Sharon had a wonderful ability of reminding people of their best qualities - if you wanted to hear about how good you are operating on "all four burners," you talked to Sharon. If you wanted to share a laugh, Sharon could tell stories that would bring you to tears, and loved listening to those of others. An avid reader, Sharon valued education and the arts (especially dance), and her style, creativity, and love of children made regular occasions special, and holidays and special celebrations that much more special. 
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jack; sons: John (Barb) and Michael; siblings: Sandy, Cheryl, Keith and Kim; granddaughters: Megan, Stephanie, Julia, and Nicole. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, September 16, 3-9 p.m., at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy. (2 blks S. of Touhy), Park Ridge. Funeral Saturday, 11:30 a.m. from funeral home, to St. Paul of the Cross Church. Mass 12 noon. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rainbow Hospice, www.rainbowhospice.org, are appreciated.
