I read the short notice of Sam's passing in our local Sun City West paper. His famous sculpture of the Prospector sits outside our library here. I have three of his pieces, Empty Saddle, The Face Off and Wing and a Prayer. Sam and I had dinner shortly before he left Arizona. A lovely, talented man.
