Rance is so special to all in the Payne family. I loved hearing stories from his teens about running around with my grandfather to play baseball, join the navy and meet girls, including my grandmother. He was my grandfather's best friend. He brought much joy to my grandmother when he would visit after his passing and talk about the good old days. I imagine a reunion with great laughs is happening in heaven.

I wish much comfort in this time of loss to all who loved him. His was certainly a life well lived and his family and friends well loved.

He brought so much joy to my grandmother after his passing by visiting and talking about the old days. I can imagine they are all catching up sharing good laughs in heaven.

Gramps,
words cant express my love for you, you have been a big part of my life as long as i can remember. I'll never forget all the things you did with us as kids, like walking to the library in the middle of winter and not buying us our candy bar util we were on the way back : ) or taking us to the city on the train to see all the christmas lights, and you constantly telling mark and i to keep our eyes peeled to look for change on the ground as we walked around the city. You were a person of good morals and stood for things you believed in. you were a great role model and person to know.
you will never be forgotten and if any one asks me how its going ill tell them, "everythings copacetic when the goose hangs high and you can always break glass with hammer". i love you gramps.

Grandpa you are gonna be missed. I love you and always looked up to you as a model for how a good man lives his life. You were so many things to so many people. You touched many lives. I hope you have eternal peace and get to reunite with loved ones who have gone before. You will live on through those who loved you in our thoughts and stories of you. Love you always. - Mark J. Dad, There is so much I want to say that is in my heart and memories , You were always there for me, You encouraged me in sports and never missed a track meet, we jogged together, golfed together, You were always there anytime I was going through a rough time, and You made a point of always taking each child out for a nice dinner for our Birthdays. You taught us right from wrong. You could be tough, A man of principals but your heart was so very soft and sentimental. You had so much life in you, and suffered so many losses, but showed me how to continue to live after these sad events Happened, You had so many funny stories and sayings that we will never forget. You were an amazing Grandpa, a Great and Good man. You really loved your children and Grandchildren and we loved and respected you right back. I am so fortunate to have had you as My Dad. My love for you will never End. All my love Daddy, Love Maryann
