Mary Ellen Padgitt. Born October 6, 1921, in Banner Elk, NC, passed away July 24, 2017, in Arlington Heights, IL. Beloved wife of the late John William Padgitt III. Loving mother of Rebecca (David Alford) Bilderback, John (Sherri), Douglas and Scott (Dorothy) Padgitt. Devoted grandmother of Kenneth, Michael, Amanda and Aimee. Great-grandmother of Susan, James, Rhea and Addison. Dear sister of the late Jean, Herbert, Caroline and Joan. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 11 a.m. at The Moorings of Arlington Heights (in the Harbor Room), 811 E. Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Assocation or First United Methodist Church of Park Ridge appreciated.
